Transavia offers new summer destinations in 2019

The summer holiday season is now behind us. A good way to prevent the post-holiday blues is to look ahead and plan your next holiday. Discover new destinations, shift your focus to something fantastic to look forward to. Next summer, Transavia will be offering more than 70 destinations, including no fewer than six new summer destinations. The destinations of Brindisi, Tangiers, Zadar and Nador have been added from Rotterdam The Hague Airport, while the cities of Beirut (from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol) and Krakow (from Eindhoven Airport) are two other new additions. Transavia’s summer schedule starts on 1 April and runs until 31 October 2019. Tickets are available from 18 September 2018.

“We’re focusing intently on growth through optimisation of our current network,” says Erik-Jan Gelink, Head of Commercial at Transavia. Like last year, we’re once again adding two new aircraft to our fleet, which leads to an increase of our capacity of 300,000 passengers. Our focus is on popular Southern European destinations. But we’re also expanding our market share in Morocco by adding extra flights to Marrakech, Al Hoceima, Tangiers and Nador.”

Croatia is hot

More Dutch travellers are making their way to versatile Croatia. In addition to Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka and Split, Transavia will also be flying to Zadar next year. Zadar is one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia, but quite a bit less crowded than Dubrovnik and Split. The city itself is one big open-air museum. You can also enjoy the beach only minutes from the city centre. The addition of Zadar to the list of Transavia destinations makes it even easier to combine a city trip with a beach holiday.

Beirut, Nador or Krakow

Flights to Beirut, Nador and Krakow, operated for the first time this winter, will also be offered during the summer season starting next year. Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is a city with a rich history. The city centre offers narrow, picturesque streets lined with shops, restaurants and night clubs, while the entire coastline of Beirut is one big row of beach clubs in the summer.

Nador is a traditional port city in Morocco untouched by mass tourism. Here you will find small local hotels and restaurants where you can sample exciting Moroccan cuisine and its rich flavours and aromas.

Krakow, Poland, is a fantastic destination for a city trip for those who love the combination of culture and history, from Wawel Castle to the former concentration camp at Auschwitz.

Brindisi and Tangiers

The port city of Brindisi is located in the Puglia region in the boot heel of Italy. For those who love genuine and sophisticated Italian cuisine, quality Italian wines and Greek and Roman history in combination with sun and sand, the Puglia region is a fantastic starting point.

Tangiers in Northern Morocco is one of the oldest cities in Morocco and also known as the White City. It is a multicultural city with Islamic, Christian and Jewish communities. Writers, artists and musicians have been attracted to this vibrant and colourful city for many years.
