It is with great pleasure that we announce the choice of the mixed syndicate of La Rochele airport to entrust the public service delegation (DSP) for the operation of the air link between La Rochelle and Lyon to the airline easyJet, for a transitional period until the end of October 2023.

Following the early and unexpected termination by the airline Chalair Aviation, which had been entrusted with the DSP for a period of 4 years from November 2019, the mixed syndicate launched an emergency procedure in order to designate another carrier for the remaining period and thus avoid interruption of service.

easyJet will begin operating the route from April 17, 2023, with 3 rotations per week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight schedule is adapted for the months of July and August, with 2 weekly rotations.

The easyJet offer brings the following new features:

● A connection operated with a direct flight, with an average flight time of 1h20,
● The flight will be operated by an Airbus A319, with a capacity of 156 seats,
● Airfares aimed at a wide audience.

This new flight adds to the 5 destinations already offered by easyJet this year from La Rochelle: Nice, London-Gatwick, Geneva, Bristol and Manchester.
