TAP is taking advantage of market opportunities to plan and optimise its network of destinations, taking into account its strategy for connecting Europe and the Americas. Starting next winter, TAP will have two direct flights a week to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The flights leave Lisbon on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5:00 pm, arriving on the island at 9:20 pm, and then depart from Punta Cana at 10:50 pm, arriving in Lisbon at 10:20 am (local time). Tickets are on sale now. Tickets start at €399 return including taxes on the airline's website (link below). For TAP Miles&Go Clients, flights are available from 58,000 miles, round trip.

This is TAP's second air link to Central America opened this year after the Lisbon-Cancun route that started on 27 March. The opening of these routes bolsters the Company's competitiveness at its hub in Lisbon, which is an ideal link between Europe and the Americas.

TAP will continue to monitor the pandemic and its operational impacts, adjusting the list of routes and flights whenever circumstances require.
