Fleet renewal kicks off with the arrival of an A330-300 for Corsair

Almost a year after the majority stake in INTRO Aviation and the development project initiated by its new shareholder, Corsair welcomed the first of the 7 additional A330s which, as part of its fleet renewal, will bring its fleet to 13 aircraft in the summer of 2023. Called F-HJAZ, the Airbus joined its base at Orly on February 14 and operated its first commercial flight on February 16 to Ivory Coast.
A modern and efficient single fleet from May 2021 and an internationalized network

The integration of JAZ marks in concrete terms the start of the renewal and modernization of the fleet, and also the company's ambition to go from 7 planes currently to 13 planes in 2023, with an intermediate milestone in May 2021 with a uniform Airbus fleet of 10 A330s including 5 NEOs.
As part of its development project, 5 A330-900 NEOs were ordered. The first two NEOs, with a capacity of 352 seats, will join the fleet this year, in August and then in December. The other three A330-900s will join them in January, April and May 2021. Building on the success of its front classes, Corsair plans to increase the number of seats in Business and Premium in the new cabins, to increase to 20 and 21 seats respectively. .
In order to speed up the renewal process, Corsair has already anticipated the release of the first A330-200 since early February 2020. The first 747-400 will be released in December 2020 and will be followed by the last two 747-400s which will leave the fleet in May 2021.

With a capacity of 298 seats, the JAZ is configured in tri-classes including 18 Business and 12 Premium, with a pitch of 62 ’in front classes for optimal comfort.
The aircraft is equipped with Rolls-Royce engines and benefits from very good performance in terms of freight capacities.
In order to import and introduce the A330-300 into its fleet, Corsair called upon the skills of Regio Lease, an airworthiness consultancy and management company specializing in aircraft transitions and imports.
The aircraft will be affected mainly on the Abidjan, Montreal and Miami lines.

“The arrival of this new aircraft marks the beginning of the renewal and modernization of the fleet with a target of 13 Airbus A330s in 2023, and 10 planes including 5 NEOs as of May 2021. The homogeneous fleet made up of Airbus A330 will bring more flexibility and will allow to increase the number of frequencies on each destination to eventually reach the goal of a daily flight. In addition, thanks to the increase in the number of seats in Business and Premium class, we will have a very good tool to develop our market share in the Business segment "said Pascal de Izaguirre.
