Arriving at OR Tambo International Airport for the first time, Condor flight DE2288 took off from Frankfurt on Friday evening bound for Johannesburg, officially launching the weekly connections. From now on, Germany's most popular leisure airline will bring travellers directly from Frankfurt to the South African metropolis on Mondays and Fridays. The flight takes approximately eleven hours.

With the new destination in the winter flight schedule, Condor is expanding its South Africa portfolio. The popular destination Cape Town will also be served again, with direct flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight takes approximately twelve hours. Tickets to Johannesburg and Cape Town can be booked from 349.99 euros.

Johannesburg is the capital of the South African province of Gauteng and attracts many visitors due to its year-round mild temperatures. The lively metropolis combines its eventful history with culture and activities. For many visitors, Johannesburg is also the starting point for round trips through South Africa, for example to Cape Town. There, the impressive Table Mountain awaits visitors, surrounded by vineyards and a rugged coastline.
